Would you delete if you were me?
Bought truck over a year ago, passed emissions then added Mini Maxx and deleted DPF. Kept EGR just in case on next emission go round...just went through and passed...kept DPF off and just removed Mini Maxx with tune running. Tech plugged into ODB port, received communications failure, he shrugged his shoulders and performed a smoke opacity test, which I passed.
So now I am wanting to perform a complete EGR delete, but am questioning if the benefits outweigh the possibility that they would change the testing process and I'd have to add it all back on. The EGR is closed with Mini Maxx (at least as I understand it), so I am better than stock, but is the extra protection of eliminating a possible cooler failure worth it? What would you do if you were me?
