question on the DPF

I have drove Powerstrokes for a while now, mostly for work and just an everday grocery gitter. I have an 08 6.4 and a couple weeks ago i lost power, so i took it to a shop. They said it was the DPF was stopped up so i started looking at othe solutions, and the DPF delete came up. I got the pipe installed to delete the DPF and CAT. The truck runs great for now, eventhough a service light came on. So heres my question, is it ok to run this truck without a programmer and if so for how long? Also where in the world can i find a programmer that deletes the codes and adds hp and mph?
Thanks
Toby from North Alabama

Driving it without the tuner will make it go into constant Regin. Spartan makes about the only DPF tuner left. I just installed one on my 09.

I bought mine from River City Diesel for 1250. Look on here in the classifieds. They come up on here from time to time.

question on the DPF

Look up dpf-r. It's not a performance tuner, but it'll turn off the dpf regen and do what u need it to do. They're like $300. Good alternative till you can find a tuner for a good price
