preformance idea's on 08 6.4

Every one, I am new to forum and just bought a 08 F250 SD with 6.4. I am looking to make some changes for fuel economy and preformance, i own a lawn care business and will only be towing about 4k with equip and trailer. what should/can i look for to improve fuel milage since i will use this veh to travel about 35 miles one way to my fire station when not mowing, then pulling equip on off days. Will a tuner work for these applications? What are thoughts about 4" exhause, cold air intakes and turbo inlets? Not knowledgable about any of these just repeating what i have heard...

You can get a Spartan, H&S Offroad, or SCT Offroad tuner and run a full exhaust with an intake and be happy. Dont look for a huge difference in fuel mileage, but you will be a lot more pleased with your truck. An EGR delete with elbow isnt a bad idea either.

Thinking about getting rid of the stock 6.7 turbo?

Woodboy; Thx for info, was told most of these would increase mileage on highyway to about 20-22. What have you seen in reguards to that. Also, which tuner is the best?

Oh good grief no way. Mine is deleted and I have it tuned, I run it at 65 with the cruise on on the highway and will generally get in the 16 to 17.5 range hand calculated. My dash will tell me 18-20 for the same trip.

Hope that I get better since I get 15-17 hwy depending on how heavy my foot is. And I have 35" rubber with 20" wheels and other than that truck is stock. I will know soon when my delete pipe arrives since I just bought a used spartan.

16-18 is my average too. 20-22 is possible with the right person and right truck but it's rare.

Also check out the mod sticky to answer most if these questions.
