DPF no longer there...pics too!

So after reading about how much fun Julian, Richard and others were having without the DPF I finally took the plunge and am lovin it . The power is awesome now. Even with my bigger tires this thing easily spins em off the line and around the corner you can drift sideways.

I took the truck to a local diesel shop and just had them make a straight pipe from just after the down pipe to the end of the DPF. It sucked that FORD had a bend and widened flange at the end of the downpipe, so we had to cut the pipe right after the flange where it's straight. The whole exhaust was 3 1/2" from the downpipe back, weird cuz the downpipe was 4". The pipe was about 5 or 6 feet and we welded in bungs for all the sensors. The guy just used some fittings he had in a drawer in his shop. They looked like they were probably plumbing or gas fittings. Whole thing took about 2 hours and a couple hundred bucks. Now all I need is a dpf back dual exhaust and I'm done.

Your going to need a KEM or you will encounter problems.

I had mine done last nite as well.........4" with flowmaster cat back and muffler. Put on 700 km today............no engine lit or running problems. 16-18 mpg with f350 duallly 410 ratio........awesome.

You have an 08 and you're getting 16-18mpg from removing the CAT and DPF?
