6.4 dpf delete pipe vs. full aftermarket exhaust
Wondering if anyone knows the difference in mpgs with just deleting the dpf vs. a full exhaust replacement. I'm not too concerned about adding crazy power, just want better mileage. I prefer the delete pipe based on it being cheaper, just curious if the full exhaust replacement would add more mileage. I will be installing a mini maxx and s&b intake as well. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

6.4 dpf delete pipe vs. full aftermarket exhaust
I didn't notice any mileage difference. It really won't make much difference as the DPF is the restrictive part of the exhaust. The muffler really isn't a muffler, more like a resonator. If you want the cheapest option, just the delete pipe. Full exhaust is basically for sound.

I have a delete pipe only with factory tail pipe in place (i did modify the muffler so it is a total straight pipe) but I did it for cost. Like others have said, the 6.4 isn;t that loud of a truck and the only difference between pipe only vs full exhaust is sound. Until you get into making big power beyond just tune and exhaust
