EGR Delete?

Can I just turn the EGR off with my programmer and not install anything and it will be fine.

Yes you can. Alot of people just phisically remove everything for peace of mind.

So what's the difference from deleting it and turning it off, nothing?

With just the tuner disabling it there is still coolant flowing through the coolers. Some people say the valve can be forced open and if a cooler ruptures you could end up with some issues. Highly unlikely I guess but like I said just peace of mind. I'm sure there are lots of guys running with the EGR and coolers still intact but the EGR not functioning and they have no issues.

Peace of mind and possibly save you a sh!t load of money if your cooler decides to rupture.

Its your truck, do it if you want, dont if you dont want to. Some of these questions on the .org lately are like pulling teeth
