Need help!

A real good friend of mine just got a 6.4 powerstroke and wants a tunner and that DPF/emission **** gone. First off should I tell him to get the SCT livewire from Innovative or Elite? Does the livewire get rid of the regen mode? And why is it just 120HP and 200TQ extra on the race tunes? Are they gonna make 150HP tunes like they did for the 6.0? And is there a kit he can get for the exhaust? Thanks

Jim

I know someone with first hand experience will be along shortly, but I believe KEM programmers are the only ones currently offering a regen delete function... Also I don't believe there are any turbo back kits on the market, just dpf back. You have to fab your own. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

Right now KEM is the only one that works. Innovative is supossed to be coming out with a regen delete SCT tune shortly from what i hear though. As far as exhaust though from the DPF forward you have to fab your own at this time

Or I could tell him to wait awhile until Innovative can do it. And if he gets rid of the DPF will there be any codes thrown?

Ya, I'll tell him to wait awhile. Any chance they are going to make a 140-150HP extreme tune soon for the 6.4? He wants big power.

Plus when he removes the DPF is he going to have to worry about thrown codes?
