Updating Mini Maxx..Here's What H&S Told Me

My truck has been tuned for about 1 year. My Mini Maxx version is 6.4.31. I am extremely happy with how everything works. I sent an email to H&S with a few questions about updating and if I needed to. Here is the reply I received from them: "This may be one of those situations where the saying If It's Not Broke Don't Fix It applies. Depending on what version you are currently on, there may be a few new features but for the most part the tuning is the same. If you are pleased with your trucks performance at this point in time and you aren't experiencing any issues, it isn't necessary to update". So for me, at least for now, I am going to stay on my "old" version and just enjoy my truck and stop worrying about updating.

Ya you don't have to update, just the new updates run a lot cleaner.

Updating Mini Maxx..Here's What H&S Told Me

It's nice to get on it and not look like a coal Rollin cummins douche. It still smokes when you romp it, but not like the older firmware versions. I'm happy I updated, much cleaner and has a little more snap but not a whole lot

This weekend i went home from school and my dad was complaining about his trans shifts and he didn't like the shifting. He also had the 31 version and 31 was 1 version before you could change your shift schedule during install. so i uploaded my 39 update into his mini maxx to see if he liked the way i could change it and he loved it! So i then updated his card to the latest update and pulled my card out to keep for myself and then i went and drove the 48 and feel it is so much smoother, cleaner, and feel like the motor actually idled quieter. (could be in my head) But from the few miles i ran it i would say if you're contemplating updating, do it!
