Hey guys, I know that S&B and AFE are far well knowen for good and or great cold air intakes. Has anyone tried the H&S? Does it filter as good as these other kits? Plus, how loud are these over the oem ones. Im sure you can hear the engine breathe alot better, or at least I heard it on my 06 with the injen cai.

You could call and see what filter they use I guess and run the box without the lid

naw, ill probably just stick with the 2 better brands. I do like the reviews on the afe.

AFE air intake or the No Limit Fabrication air intake it look really nice

The H&S intake looks nice. I'm not sure if the H&S replaces the intake tube (tube from filter housing to turbo), judging from website it doesn't look like it. For what it's worth... the AFE includes a new intake tube that seems to be a little bigger with a little less bend at the elbow. I installed the AFE Stage 2 Si, the install was easy. One benefit of the H&S is the ability to remove the top of the cover with a couple of clamps, versus the allen screws on the AFE.

Can mileage gains be made with a CAI? i have heard clams of up to 1.5 miles a gallon. I also have read that the AFE sounds really nice...

I tried to find some sound clips of the filter, but. Didn't have any luck on YouTube. The only one that I remember was the s&b. but it was just an installation I loved the injen filter sound on my 06. Well at least in the cab. Sounded mean haha! Anyone wanna post a sound clip?
