Tuning help

I have a SCT tuner on my 08 F-250. All I have done so far is the dpf delete. I am running the normal sct performance tune. To best of yalls knowledge are these tunes pretty safe or should I be looking for someone to write and email me custom tunes? If so then who’s putting out tunes to make good safe power. I want to keep the truck for a while and absolute power isn’t high on my list. I deleted the dpf for reliability reasons. I will also be doing the egr shortly. Also is an aftermarket air intake worth the money. Sorry for all the questions put im fairly new to PSD and want to make sure I get things right.
