Exhaust Back Pressure/EGR Question

I've been running a 250HP tune that turns off the EGR, except at idle. I've been running this tune for over 45,000 miles.

I just did the full EGR delete (removed the coolers, cooler brackets, intake & EGR valve) and installed a Flo-Pro EGR delete kit with elbow.

Some folks say that there is sufficient Exhaust Back Pressure with the 250HP tune that I should install a Waste Gate. Others say that it isn't needed.

My question:

Won't my Exhaust Back Pressure with the EGR delete be the same as it was running a tune that turns off the EGR?

If so, I've lived without a Waste Gate for 45K+ miles without issues, so I'm not sure if one is needed with the way that I drive my truck.

I dont think you need a wastegate. Others with bigger turbos are not running a gate. If you have a minimaxx you can monitor your back pressure.

What are normal EBP readings on a truck with an EGR system? I would just like to know what a good reading is vs. a bad reading.

You don't need a wastegate.
