Anyone traded in a modified 6.4 to dealer?

Well im in the search of a 6.4, I am trying to find one at a dealer (need to trade car in) that has some aftermarket performance mods.
Trying to find within 500miles of omaha,ne.

Most Ford dealers will not sell modified vehicles, especially ones with modifications that defeat federally mandated emissions components.

Some dealers will sell lifted trucks with big wheels and stuff, but they are few and far between unless you live in Texas or Alberta.

I don't know if I'd want to buy one thats been deleted and tuned because chances are it was probably run hard. Just food for thought.

A dealer must not sell a vehicle with emissions modifications... Its etched in one of those stones Moses came off that mountain with.. er, uh, seriously.. its against federal law to do so.. the fines are higher than half the inventory of most dealerships... Or, something like that...

Okay, seriously.. any vehicle sold by a licensed dealer has to pass inspection, or its on the dealer to pay for repairs that allow it pass inspection..

Check Craigslist and the Classifieds sections of the Powerstroke forums. That's your best bet in finding one.

There is a ford and dodge dealer near me in Michigan that sell tuned and deleted trucks. And they also sell a warranty with it. I know. Sounds unheard of

There's a tuned/deleted 08 on Ebay right now, a white one. Little heavy on the money but not a bad looking truck.

Not sure I'd advertise my truck as deleted then post pics of it with license plates on it, but hey. LOL.

I disagree. I deleted for better mileage and tuned because you have to if you are deleted in order to get your truck to start more than one time. I don't run my truck hard. I'd say there are always going to be the high schoolers that love black smoke and hot rodding around but, for the most part, I think people are trying to make their trucks more dependable.

Especially on this forum, it seems like a lot of the questions are based on maintenance and trying to make their trucks reliable for a lot of miles.

All this being said, my truck may need a motor!...waiting to hear the verdict from Ford this afternoon.
