High boost???

I updated to the h&s 6.4.47 and the truck ran perfect then we had 1 night of -35 Celsius all day the truck ran good then all of a sudden the boost spiked to 40psi under 1/4%throttle and then had no boost for about 3 minutes then turbo kicked back in and now I'm reading high boost numbers before I would drive 60km/h 4th gear converter locked and I would have about 5-6 psi now I'm getting about 25ish almost 30 so I'm a little worried I hope nothing big f***ed up.

Its normal. The newer updates make higher boost #s cruising. But its runs cleaner, cooler, and appears to make more power. I think you will be fine.

Is there anything more worthwhile on the .47 than the .46 update? I currently use .46 and haven't really noticed high boost numbers under light throttle.

No, its mainly a firmware update. Files and name changes for the tuning. Tuning is the same.

Nvm the previous post my phone messed up and posted that, but I can't see this thing lasting to long with numbers like that just cruising and it's at 30psi constantly, I hit 40psi without even trying to. It's almost not even driveable too, the throttle is pretty touchy with the boost that high, it's hard to maintain a speed. Also what I find weird is I updated the 6.4.46 just after it came out and then the .47 just a few days ago and why is it that the high boost just started happening yesterday?

I done the new update on 5 tuners now and I have not seen any more than 20 psi cruising. Truck cruises at less than 600 egts. Gas milelage seems to be better as well. Make sure you monitor your boost through the mini max because a lot of times the dash gauge will be close but not exact.

I am watching it through the mini maxx but ill take it out for a ride today and see how it does and ill report back here with some info.

Maybe do you have a boost leak? Is one of your intercooler boots torn or maybe is loose?

I believe clayton had this same issue a few weeks back. This update wasnt available yet, but it was cold for days and he was experiencing high boost numbers. I dont remember what the issue ended up being. 40 psi around town is to much. Thats not going to net good mpg's.
