CAI intake afe vs no limit

Which CAI should I go with on my truck I have the mini maxx and 5" already. I do plow with the truck and read that the exposed filter (No limit) will get plugged with snow is this true?

Ummmmmmm. I don't see how snow would make it to the filter. Even if small amounts did I would think the hot underhood temps would melt it instantly. Mud doesn't make it to the filter nor does rain so how would snow. Just thinking out loud

I have been plowing with my afe stage 2 dry filter and haven't had any issues with snow, rain or mud.....etc.

I wouldn't think you would have issues.

The No Limit setup isn't necessary unless you have larger than stock turbos.

I ran an AFE stage II with Pro5R filter before I switched to the No Limit setup. It worked great with stock turbos. Just wasn't enough for my Elite Tow Power atmosphere.

Sorry to slightly change the thread, but is the no limit the answer to the air filter regulator to stop going off? I recently got my truck back from the shop with some upgrades and keep popping the sensor. One its a pain in the rear to keep popping the hood to reset it, but also does it "detune" or retract power at all from the truck?
