RPM jumps for 3800 to 1800
Guys took the truck out for a spin (new stuff) and i took off RPM jumped to 3800 and jumped to 50mph no wheel spin and it felt all of a sudden a surge and it fell to 1800 i have put on the traction bars on today and just want to know if this is right(i think when it shifted into 5 overdrive)

sounds like torque converter. was this a wide open throttle launch??
