whats a good setup?
I recently bought a 6.4 and has 38,000 miles. It is all stock except for looks. I want to get better fuel milage and yet have good power and reilable. What is the best exhaust, chip, and intake to get? Thanks

Someone needs to make one of these threads a sticky so we dont get one thread after another.
Im assuming you want to delete the dpf so.... 1. H&S mini maxx (better hurry because they wont be doing dpf delete any more once they are sold out) or Spartan Phalanx 2.Exhaust would be MBRP, Flo Pro, Diamond Eye are all great brands. i would look at 4" or 5" down pipe back, the down pipe can be a pain to remove so if you dont feel like messing with the down pipe then down pipe back will do fine. 3.Intake would be AFE or S&B. both have dry and oiled filters. i run AFE with dry filter |

jesus you are not lying. use the search function. they are literally 3 of these threads a day. and if there isnt 3 of these then they are 3 of 4inch vs 5 inch exhaust. please sticky them both

If you don't have emissions testing I would do it. The power the truck has and how much more healthy it is for the truck is huge. But the dpf deletes are getting pulled off the shelf when they are sold out they are gone so you better hurry Personally I wouldn't drive a 6.4 with dpf on it.

Neither would I. I would probably pick a 6.0 and build it up if my choice between 6.4 dpF'd or studded 6.0.....

OP- listen to fellas above, they're dead on right and know what they're talkin about. I too liked my 6.4 stock, but I fvckin love it now! It is a bad mf'er that's for sure.

I have a buddy of mine that was building a hot rod trans am. After seeing one of my 6.4 trucks run, he lost interest in the trans am and did everything he could to his 2011 duramax, including dpf delete, & h&s tuner. Now he is spoiled by the power of the diesel. Trans am is now on the back burner. My point is you will be amazed.
