SCT 3015R tuner ?

I just deleted the DPF on my 6.4
Got a couple ?'s with the tuner
When setting it up it asked if I had deleted my egr,
I chose no
Then asked if I had a race exhaust, I chose yes
then proceeded to load the street tune.

Is this correct??

One thing I noticed after loading the tune and driving
is after taking off from a stoplight at normal speed sometimes
I hear a slight grinding noise from the center of the cab for about a second.
I know for a fact this noise was not there before the tune and dpf delete
so I am wondering if it has something to do with the tuning for the transmission??

Any thoughts on this??

ok everyone got the noise figured out it was the downpipe rubbing on the frame rail, must of torqued it some installing the dpf.

Still looking for answers on the tuner though

There shouldn't be any grinding noise. Is it possible that you could post a clp on here of the noise?

Even if your EGR is not deleted, select YES. That way it eliminates it from operating.

If you have a high power tune installed, you need to use one of the firm shift tunes. You will burn up the tranny/TC quick in stock tune.

Race will be fine. It may shift hard, and converter lock up earlier. Is it canned (SCT) tunes, or Custom tunes?

It is just the canned tunes,

I am reprogramming now,

I chose egr off ,dpf off, performance tune
with the performance trans. level

My choices for the trans were:
stock
dyno
street
tow
performance
race

I believe the options were the same for the engine tune as well minus the dyno option

Thanks again for all your help.
