Just received mini max and need help

What tune comes downloaded in the mini max from h and s? Should I update it before installing? I am not sure what version is on it and I don't have the tv number because I have not installed it yet

Ok I figured out that I select the pwr level during downloading but still not sure if I should go ahead and update or can I update without tv number our should I just follow instruction and quit worrying about updating

I would update it before installing. This way you are running the most current tuning.

Yeah. Always update before you tune. Down load the tune. When down loading you will be able to pick which tunes you want, after its done loading the tune. Go to the menu and click update firmware. Screen will reboot and your good to go!

Download the "full" card, it should be about 1 gigabyte.

I do not know what version is on the card just got mini max out of box not going to install on truck until tomorow on h and s auto updater website it says make sure your tuner is up to date does it matter about this or not. Does it matter which version is in it

if you wanna make a claim (in the future) about h and s breaking your truck cuz of their tuner i would update it cuz that would be the first question they ask is what version do you have and you always want the most current.

Why should I download the full card instead of just 08 6.4

You won't have to do the full download. Just pick the 6.4 litre. In certain cases the full download worked if the vehicle specific choices weren't completing however I would still just select the 6.4 first and hit update card. I it doesn't complete then do the full sd card download

Exactly, mine didn't work the first time and I had to go back and get the full card, seems like it would save some time to just get it in the first place.
