injectors
So I'm putting the truck in the shop to have a injector replaced.
I am also going to have head studs installed, should I have all the injectors replaced while the one is being done? I am at 80,000 miles and when I had my 7.3 it seemed like once a year I was having a injector replaced. |

im a newb but this is just my 2 cents. I would say if your coming out of pocket, just do the one for now. its easier than you think to do injectors yourself. i had a cylinder 3 code for awhile and last week my trans went. well, long story short im out $3500 for the trans and while under the truck i found that the valve cover has been leaking a touch of oil. with the trans fix, i was running short on funds to do the injector but really wanted to get the valve cover fixed. with some research and being very patient, i was able to get everything out of the way and get the valve cover off and the bad injector out. (and im not really engine knowledgeable!) out of pocket $200 instead of hundreds more. again just my 2 cents

What he said. It's not that bad of a deal to replace an injector and there are lots of videos on YouTube showing how. If you want the reliability thing and not worry about it for another 80-100k miles then do it all, but if the cash isn't there and you don't mind taking the valve cover off I would wait.
