BOV question

i have a tune, dpf/cat delete and custom intake through fender vent.

Ive been reading on bov's, "after i cracked an exhaust pipe from letting of throttle too soon"

This one on this video sounds just like my truck.

mine sounds similar to a bov but not like i hear on turbo'd jap cars.

so is this a bov in the video or just turbo noise?

Turbo bark. BOV's are unnecessary on a diesel cause they don't have throttle plates that close when we let off of the throttle. Our excess boost gets dumped into the intake causing the turbo bark you hear in that video.
