In the shop
Well my truck finally went to the shop for new head gaskets and ARP studs. Can't wait to get it back.

are you doing anything else while the cab is off?

Not a whole lot just downpipe egr delete and clean out the intake manifold. That's really all the budget allows right now I had to do it now because they were leaking so bad. After I get the tranny rebuilt and an RCD tc ill look into getting some more power upgrades. I kinda want to run a little nitrous though.

Yea its a good idea to clean the intake manifold. It would be nice if you could have done a ported intake manifold while its off. I understand the budget thing tho.

Oh trust me I wanted a ported one. Good thing is I can do the next cab off myself for the turbos and intake mani. My buddy and I just didn't want to tackle doing the heads. Probably could have but just decided against it. I have no problem putting an intake mani on though.

Yea when i pull the cab i plan on a batmowheel, a ported intake manifold and 6.0 exhaust manifolds and up pipes.

Yeah I was going to do 6.0 mani and uppipes but he said it not really needed at my hp level. Plus I don't think anyone has ever put up a concrete hp increase just from those. until they do im holding off
Yea i am debating that also. If i do the 6.0 manifolds it will be more for reliability.

For anyone to get a reliability benefit out of 6.0 manifolds, they would need to be making some big power with a whole of fuel and/or nitrous.

I may just hold off on the 6.0 manifolds then.
