Stock AirBox Mods

Okay, so I don't ever plan on replacing the intake system on my tow rig, but wouldn't mind a little extra air, at no cost.

Post up what you've done!

Wayne from Elite did some modifications to his awhile back to see if he could get it to keep up with their 71mm Tow Power atmosphere. It didn't, but I'm sure his modifications would be fine with stock turbos. Might want to PM him over on the ARMY or do some research and see if you can find what he did.

I modified mine and have never pulled the minder in. The only intake I think I would get is the no limit. I just like the idea of a big filter

Awesome, thanks Jeff. This truck never leaves the "No Power" tune, so I doubt I'll ever need an intake.

How is that possible? You have far more restraint than I have.

I had that attitude going in... 5 miles down the road, it was on Wild. 20 miles down the road, it was on Hot.

Partly because its an XRT Pro, so it's a little harder to change. And if this truck is moving, it's got a trailer behind it. So the No Power tune is perfect.

But even on my other '08, I usually leave it on the No Power (50 HP on the HD 300 tune) just because I don't need all that power 24/7.

I was subscribed to a thread where the guy posted up his modded stock airbox. It looked like he used a whole saw to drill 1 1/4" holes and riveted a stainless screen on the backside. Looked awesome and have him more flow. Ill try to dig it up
