wired1, that is incorrect. If the truck is returned to stock, then the tune and tuner can be used on other trucks. I know because I just bought it from F35008, and it worked fine.

PS...kudos for F35008 on the sale through paypal. If this were ebay, I would leave positive feedback.

Actually, I probably would be willing to sell it. I like the IDP tune on my other SCT better. Make me an offer. It is unlocked.

I spoke with KEM. Their tunes do NOT transfer. They ARE VIN locked. Was just looking into buying one used myself, essentially, all you get are the canned tunes.

soundmandave21: Incorrect...I was told they are not locked by an H&S rep awhile back also, AND I programmed my truck with it.

Yeah, I am beginning to wonder cause right after posting that I read 2 more posts where folks said they loaded second hand KEM tunes onto their rigs. However I specifically asked KEM about this and they said it is not possible, so I am confused. I just sent them another email asking what happens if you load a second hand tune. Maybe there are some minor parameters that could be a little off? VERY frustrating to get information from the vendor, only to find others proving it wrong. Its almost like the old saying, it is better ask for forgiveness than permission...

Staffcurtis...BTW, H&S is NOT KEM
