6.4 1/4 Mile

I have a 2010 King Ranch F350 Short wheel based truck (non dually) that i ran at the local 1/4 mile track tonight.My mods are 5" straight Pipe Exhaust,SB Intake,and SCT Tuner (160hp 300tq Max)..My best time was 14.8 @ 91 mph with a 1.9 60'...

Im not happy with my times...Im especially disappointed in my trap speed..I though for sure i would trap 195 mph or so? What do i need to do to increase my MPH? do i need to get a Spartan Tuner? Do i need to change gears? i race cars so this whole diesel truck thing is new to me..Any help will be appreciated...

Who's tunes are you running?

I'm no 6.4 expert but seems a bit slow compared to other times I've seen. Your 60' seems good though

Heres a free for you!

H&S and Spartan both have like 200-300 hp tunes... that 160 or whatever is not using all the truck that you have..

My 6.0 without the larger injectors ran a 14.5 last month. Same day a ecsb 6.4 ran a 13.2 with an h&s tuner... no the total max setting. I knew him and we raced against one another. You got a light tune. You can have most of the tune writers make a strong tune for you.

That's incredibly slow for any tuned 6.4. My tuned 6.0 runs 14.2-14.3 all day long and it's about as heavy as it can get; and that's with stock turbo, injectors, tranny, gears, etc.

I would look at custom tunes, innovative diesel, gearhead, etc. all those can make you a tuner like h&s or spartan and prolly even a better tune because its custom for your truck

I have only been down an 1/8 mile track but my 60' times are 1.733 and I got down the track in 8.178 with a trap speed of 84 mph. I think that calculates to a 12.8 1/4. I don't know how accurate that is.
