S+B Install. Question...

I took out the stock air box/filter today and found some junk in my air box. Found a bunch of leaves, twigs, bugs, etc. Also found a foam gasket that was broken. Not sure where this came from.

When putting the new airbox in, it didn't exactly line up with the old air flow tube coming in from the fender. Did I do something wrong here or is this how it's supposed to go?

It's a very tight fit. Like anything else under these damn hoods. I had a hell of a time but I got it after a little fussing

Its ok if it doesnt perfectly line up with it, though it is possible to get it perfect if you loosen the clamps and situate it before you crank them down.

Congrats on the new intake!

I installed mine 4 days ago. It was a tight fit, but angling the box down allowed it to slip in the hole. Then pivot the other side down. Total install took about 30 minutes.
