Intercooler

Okay so my truck was in a minor accident and my stock intercooler is listed as the items that need to be replaced. So my questions is do I go back with a new stock intercooler or upgrade to an aftermarket unit. The truck is CC 2010 4X4 w/ Mini Max, CAI and DPF/Cat delete.

Thoughts?

Thanks

if the shop doing the repairs can work out a deal with me i would go aftermarket route. if the insurance check was made out to me only i wouldnt hesitate to do a bigger intercooler.

Now would be a great time to go aftermarket. The AFE cooler is a beast, you will see a good drop in EGTs overall and notice they dont climb nearly as fast. It is much larger and more efficient than the stock unit.

Ya go aftermarket. I like the design or bd's intercooler. I worry about the AFE being so thick and blocking some air to the radiator.

Upgrade! I love my AFE. Works great and I haven't seen my coolant or oil temps rise at all from 'blocked' air. It flows great. And I'm running in 100+ degree Texas heat.
