EGR delete w/o elbow

I just finished up deleting my 6.7L, now my Father-n-law wants his 6.4L deleted. If i dont install the intake elbow and keep the factory EGR valve in place, and delete everything else, does this actually work? I know it will not be as good as removing the EGR valve, that will happen later. He gave me a budget and the elbow wasnt part of it. Does the wire harness get disconnected to the EGR value? Any info on this is would be great.

Thanks again!

You are fine not removing the valve. You do not need to disconnect the egr wire because the tuning shuts it off. (if it is H&S)

Gotcha, yes it is H&S programmer (Mini Maxx). I only asked cuz on the 6.7L I had to disconnect the wire harness for EGR value and EGR butterfly.
Thanks for the reply!
