How do you like the fit and finish of your MBRP exhaust? And congrats on the tunes!!!

Thank you sir!
This is my second MBRP Exhaust, bought one for my first diesel, a 2001 Duramax also. Both fit very well, like I have heard others say, the hardest part is getting the stock exhaust off. A few notes though, I have a crew cab with the short box, and it requires some trimming of the mid pipe. The dimensions are given, and I used a sawsall, easy enough, but some might not realize that. If you had a long box I don't believe any cutting would be required. I also got a free 5" tip when I ordered through XDP as one does not come with the MBRP kit I purchased. To make that fit to my liking, I also trimmed about 6" off of the tailpipesection because I wanted the tip to be somewhat flush with the fender. The only other issue I had was that the bolts for the downpipe to new exhaust connection were supposed to be included, and weren't in the box. It's just two bolts, not a big deal, but I had to go out and get some. Other than the bolts that weren't in there I'm happy. Easy to install, and fits perfect. |
