Traded my 08 in on a 10 and spartanized! Now some questions??
Now I've move up to a 2010. I drove it stock for about a month prior to spartan tuning in order to get baseline temps.
Two things I notice immediately, its way better on fuel and the torque converter locks in 4th gear around 60 km/hr before shifting into locked 5th about 73km/hr.
When I spartan tuned, I went straight to the 250 early lockup. I do not really care for how the trans shifts now. The converter does not lock until nearly 80 km/hr and never locks in 4th unless I have tow haul on.
Why does it lock so late?
Are there any tunes that will lock the converter in 4th earlier?
It is a 2010 cc long box single rear wheel lariat with 3.55 rear end.
I can also say that I'm not a big fan of the 3.55's when towing. Empty on the hwy they are pretty good tho.
