New Mini Maxx questions
Just got my Mini Maxx installed and I have read that people get the best mpgs in hot mode. I wanted to know what you guys consider "safe" due fueling levels are? I don't want to hurt my engine!
Also, isn't the defueling levels there to prevent certain parameters from getting too high or to dangerous levels? Thanks! |

Here is a thread that has some more information. Im using jayz's setting (bottom of the page), with the boost set to 40psi. I dont' tow much...
With the cold coolant temp, it won't let you use the hot setting until the coolant reaches that number. Same for when it reaches its hot coolant temp. The mini maxx will automatically tune to your setting of choice when its within parameters. Mini Max Defueling Settings |

After driving for a week or so on the hot setting and keeping my foot out of it, the top gauge on the mini maxx (pyro 1) which I am guessing are my EGTs, barely gets into the 900 range when accelerating or going up a hill etc...
Is that normal? My PSI (turbo I am guessing) may get up to high 20s or so Did you guys mess witht he shift points? |

My egt's on the flat are anywhere from 530 to 700. Going up hills yours sounds about the same as mine ( 750 - 1000 ) depending on if the truck downshifts. If It downshifts the egt's will be on the lower side while if it doesn't they will average around 800-900. Seems normal to me. Turbo psi seems normal as well. As for shift points, are you talking about the choice of trans tunes or are you actually talking about the shift points in the mcc programming?
