My 71 build and the problem it found.
My build all started when my truck started to puke so i set the plans in motion and did my research and talked with people on the forums and at rudys. I planed on just studs and gaskets that in turn became studs, gaskets, a 71mm from rudys with a batmo for the hp turbo, and 6.0 manis and custom up pipes. Dropped the truck off last week monday and the shop had it all done and together by friday, thats when the problems began. The truck had an injector stuck open and was loading the cylinder so the shop swapped it out on there expense since it was fine when it went in. All back together two more injectors stuck open =/, they tear all the injectors out and now have given me 3 new ones on there expense and send them to diesel power to be cleaned and checked. The shop found metal shavings in all the injectors and said my HPFP is going out. They asked if i had a lack in power and i said it felt like it didnt make good power down low. So now at this point the shop is hooking me up got a new HPFP with 1 year warranty as i dont want to add fuel or a wastegate at this point and for money reasons cut the labor rate in half for pulling the cab a second time =/. Hopefully this thing will be damn near bullet proof minus the CCV mod i plan on doing soon. sorry for the long post
