Need help installing Flo Pro 4" DPF Delete
Hey guys,
I am new to the forum. I just picked up a new to me 2008 F250 6.4. On day 2 of purchase, EGR cooler system failed and puked. Truck had 3 days left on the factory 5 year warranty and they would up footing the entire bill for new EGR cooler system. Now the truck is fixed, warranty is up and I just got my 4" DPF delete pipe delivered. The problem I see is how the 4" end slips onto my stock exhaust. It looks like a 3.5" would slide inside the existing exhaust but I bought a 4" DPF pipe in case I want to upgrade to full 4" exhaust at a later date. Does the 4" just slide over the stock pipe instead of inside the stock pipe? I am just worried about fitment, leaks, etc....? |

doesnt it come with clamps that fit from the stock pipe to the delete pipe. I did the full exhaust so i cant help a lot, but id think you need two clamps. Half of each clamp will be stock size and go to 4 inch pipe. Slide that all the way back over your stock exhaust, lift up delete pipe and then slide clamp over new pipe tighten down......

Just did this last night with the same pipe. It fits inside the stocke one, its a pain to get in you have to open the ends of the pipe. It took two of use.

All good idea guys....I spoke wit Flopro directly and they said their 4" model is not meant for the stock exhaust system. Their is no taper on the end of the pipe on the 4" model so it won't slide inside the stock exhaust as the factor does. I needed to order their 3.5" model as that was the factory direct fit replacement. I'm glad I did not rip in to this before re-confirming. Already have the new one in the mail. Thanks for the replies.
