Spartan Tuner update ideas

Since most great things are built off customer feedback, I figured I would start a thread for CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I know some guys from spartan are regularly on this forum and I just had a few ideas that would make me love my Spartan even more than I do now and figured there were others who had some good ideas too.

Now I only have 2 thoughts at the moment, but I don't believe they would be too difficult to accomplish (but then again I have no idea what kind of programming this would entail).

Idea 1 - Speedo Recalibration for tire size. I know this has been pretty well beat to death, but I would be a nice feature.

Idea 2 - delayed motor shutoff. I know when I get places I like to idle and let my EGTs get below 400, but sometimes I don't have time or just plain forget. If there was an auto shutoff that allowed for the motor to run without keys after I get out and lock the truck until the EGTs get to a certain temp it would be awesome.

Like I said just throwing out ideas.

I figured. It has been talked about. And I always am out doing something and think how something could be better (not just the spartan) and then forget to write it down and completely forget about it later. So figured I would solve that problem with this thread.

Thanks for all your forum browsing and hard work making the spartan tuner the awesome thing it is!

I don't think it would be possible to add a turbo timer feature without splicing into at least a few wires. The Spartan just plugs into the OBD2 port and after you've loaded a tune its just a monitor. I don't think its possible to control engine shutdown from the OBD2 port by itself. I'm sure the the dasdaq has more than enough computing power but it would need to control a few more wires than it has access to now.

I would like to see a backup camera input be added to the Spartan dashdaq. I've been debating buying an Edge CTS to use as a monitor / backup camera screen (still run the Spartan tuning of course, just use the CTS for gauges and backup camera).

I'd like for the suncoast tunes to be available. Its hard to run my Spartan with my suncoast because of the shifts.

Selectable trans tuning, disable TPMS, and speedo correction would make for a hell of an update!

What if you could use your stereo/nav or after market stereo as your dash daq?
