6.4 dpf delete question

I have a 2008 6.4 its just an work truck and I'm wondering do I have to have a tuner on it to delete the dpf? Will it run without the tuner and just through a check engine light or will it not run correctly. I'm planning on hollowing out the filter.

Yes you will need a tuner or I believe it will be in constant re-gen.

You definitely need a tuner.

Do a search here and you will find plenty of reading.

I HIGHLY suggest going with an H&S Mini Maxx which we believe to be the best overall tuner on the market. From there, you can get the DPF/Cat delete pipes or a full system. I also suggest an air intake. Feel free to contact us with any questions you may have.
