Afe stage 2 w/pre-filter..sucking minder down

So I have the afe stage 2 cai. I'm running the hd300 tune, with the pre filter on. It's sucking down the minder gauge. It didn't do this with the pre filter off, but I prefer it on for extra protection for the turbos.

Anybody else got this goin on?

Id just leave the pre filter off. few people i know have a S&B and dont have that problem. honestly ive never heard of that problem with any intake other then the stock one

yeah. It wasn't doing it with the pre filter off, but I saw somebody from PTP, maybe nate, stating that it doesn't restrict any airflow at all with the pre filter on and he suggest that it be on at all times. Guess I'll take it off, but sure would like some kind of sleeve on there for that added protection to those COSTLY turbos

All the prefilter does is keep the big stuff from getting stuck in the pleats so it's easier to clean.

After today it's not sucking it down. But after each gear the tranny shifts out of I hear swindling down swoosh noise. Is that known as the turbo hush? Not minder gauge getting sucked down tho!
