Sump Recommended?
I am looking to install an Airdog II 165 on my 08 6.4 and during my research, I noticed a few people installing fuel sumps to remedy a 1/4 tank issue. Is this something I should consider doing as well or is it not needed? I was looking at this: ADP No Tank Drop Fuel Sump Edit: I also noticed Xtreme Diesel makes one of these no drop sump kits also.

There is also a low profile sump you can get.

But is it something that is recommended with an Airdog II or can I do without it?

I've helped install close twenty high volume pumps over the years and the ones that ended up most reliable were ones that pulled either through a large draw straw or a sump. Sumps I highly suggest you use a sump with an upgraded line to your aftermarket pump. There are a lot of combination pumps you could use but I prefer the simple approach instead of a pump supplying another pump. Just do some research and decide what route you want to go. If you do the sump it's a good time to do the harpoon mod.
