Superchips

Hey guys, I found a guy online selling a Superchips 1808 programmer and I can get it for $120 bucks (plus shipping). It has never been used still in the box. A new one is over $300. I was curious to everyone's opinions about the 1808. I know everyone is going to say go H&S or Spartan but I don't have that kind of money right now. Also does anyone know if this chip can be used with either a DPF/DPF delete exhausts? I still have a stock exhaust but I have plans of deleting the DPF in the near future.

It's DPF-ON only. SuperChips no longer supports DPF deletes and I don't believe the 1808 ever had the capabilities. Only their "Race" tuner did, which they stripped from their product line. I'm sure they still provide support for their "Race" tuners. You could possibly try and find one of those.

I personally think you should save your money and get a more reputable tuner when you can afford it. I think you and your truck will benefit more from that option. Not trying to sell you something, just giving you a suggestion based off of my personal experiences from the last 5 years as a 6.4L Power Stroke owner.

Spartan or h&s is the way to go. I have a super chips on my 6.0 and it's garbage. Just makes it smoke and the guy I got it from liked that ****

Pass on the Superchips if you already havent. You will most likely have it for a sale a week after you use it.

I also suggest H&S or Spartan for a tuner. The Mini Maxx is the best all around tuner on the market, but the Spartan unit is also an excellent choice. Check our site for more info and pricing.
