It costs the same to add 50hp as it does to add 250.
I like my setup. A notch below would be to go with a DPF delete pipe instead of a full exhaust and might save you $150. Total for mine was just over $1500. |

First, my truck is a 2008 F250 King Ranch 4x4. Ok now for the good stuff.
Tuner - go with the Spartan or H&S. I have the spartan and run the 300LL tune for a daily driver. Nets me about 17MPG (13 was stock), and I can outrun my buddies Porsche in the 1/4. As was previously stated these tuners come with multiple tunes so you can run from +40HP to +350HP for the same price. Intake - S&B or AFE. I have the S&B. When I tuned I didn't change the intake but had to do it soon after as I kept popping the air filter minder because these tunes pull so much air. Exhaust. I just have the DoC/DPF delete pipe but I will soon be changing to a custom exhaust setup. I want to get rid of the "hair dryer" sound as best I can and get a deeper sound. That comes with a bigger exhaust. Total these ran me about $1500. I have also added a 4" downpipe, a CAC pipe, CCV mod, and will be adding a bypass coolant filter, bypass oil filter and bypass transmission filter. I'm in it for making the HP reliably for a long time. Eventually I will get studs and probably a new torque converter and billet shafts, but that is just my piece of mind. Only the intake/tune/exhaust is required for a very dependable 6.4. Sent from a phone smarter than me. |

Oh and an EGR delete is nice but not required. I have a FloPro delete. If you ever get a chance to take your EGR valve body off and look into your intake manifold you will be running to delete your EGR.

Let me know if you have any questions about the Spartan Phalanx! We can also set you up with a package deal that includes our tuner, an intake, and an exhaust.

i did a lot of research, and talked to a good diesel mech. i found that super chip that ford use to own but sold it, is about 400 dollars. i dont think all the mods and hi dollar chips are worth it. i am happy with my chip and plan on a lift kit in the future.

Interesting. Double the horsepower and torque for less than $2000. On what other vehicle can you do that? And oh, by the way.... NO REGENS. |

how much hp can i do with out adding aftermarket head bolts, cuz i saw that 6.4s are week cuz of there head bolts not being the grates is this true or not true?
the mods i was thinking of buying are binks ram air or just a regular K-N cold air intake, and maybe a super chip but i ran into a problem i dont know anything about the exhaust i wana put a jet black stack on it but should i run all 5' pipe and make the stack 8in? or buy a pre made system? of all 5? how big is to much for a 6.4? if you have any web site just send them to me for the chips, exhaust, intakes and what not i really am thankful for the help guys!!!! |

I recommend a tuner, S&B or AFE cold air intake, and exhaust. You can run mild tunes (such as our 210 tune) and have a perfectly reliable truck. You can check out our website here: Spartan Diesel Technologies |

this^^^ I bought my truck used, its had a Spartan tuner on it from the week it was purchased. (I work with the original owner) He ran a 310 tune as a DD and I'm running the 275 as a DD. Just over 75k miles on a '08 and not a problem to speak of. |
