6.4 intakes

I'm thinking about getting an intake for my 6.4 who has upgraded and what do you recomend?

I dont have an 08 but i would check out the AFE intakes with the progaurd 7 filters they are the best there is IMO

Yeah I have the AFE stage 2 and I love it, some of the trucks are little sensitive to the oiled filter causing a check engine light to come on, so I would do with the dry filter to avoid any headaches...

not to hi jack the thread but are aftermarket filters that much of an improvement over stock on the 6.4?

Well it depends, there is improvement in power from a take off and the turbos are louder ....there can be an improvement in fuel mileage but chances are you going to be heavier on your right foot to hear the turbos so your not going to notice all that much .......it also looks good under the hood

Is that what is def causing the CEL the oiled filter?

Some of the aftermarket companies that I have talked to believe so, they also thing it might have something to do with the moving of the MAF sensor

I just got the AFE Stage 2 & it should arrive here tomorrow!! I can't wait to hear the turbos scream!!
