did I make a mistake with SCT
I have a 2008 Ford F450 6.4DI. I got an SCT 3015R. it came with 4 tunes from SCT that were supposed to be pretty good. I installed the second highest one and wow the performance was awesome. I then deleted the DPF and again performance was amazing but wow she smokes alot. I want the performance without the smoke and I know it can be done. I had a 2004 6.0 and I never really saw plumbing smoke. the tunes were amazing and flawless. does anyone make custom tunes that are really fast good and reliable but have very little smoke? also the prices seem to be so much more on the 6.4 tunes then they were for my 6.0 why is this?
thanks guys and gals. |

Talk to Eric at id about some tunes, some of the 6.0 tuners write tunes for the 6.4 as well. As for price have no idea. Someone else will probably know though

Contact Matt @ gearhead. His tunes are AWESOME! He charges $100 for each tune or $250 for all of his tunes (heavy tow, street, hot street, and race files) But I would avoid the Race file as it is only recommended with a studded engine. But his Hot street tune is INSANE with basically no smoke at all

A custom tune will take care of that. SCT tunes are decent but a custom tune will be better.
