If you know all the pros and cons then it's just personal preference. This topic is opening up a can of worms

Spartan- has a few more hp than h&s, most claim the monitoring is better than h&s, has a $150 relicensing fee every time you switch trucks, has the option for gps but it's laggy, not shift on the fly, some claim to have harsh shifting, has specific tow tune
H&s- few less hp than h&s, decent monitoring, can switch trucks and buy used tuners without having to pay a fee, cheaper than spartan, change tunes on the fly without having to go through downloading tune, can pick different shift schedules(not sure if spartan has this), doesn't have a specific tow tune I'm sure I'm missing things if people want to build off my list, if you use the search feature you can find many threads asking the same question. I have seen people switch from h&s to spartan and vice-versa, it just depends which one fits you the best. |

Thanks what exactly is on the fly tunning?

You can change between the different tunes on the fly. With Spartan, you have to download the tune to the tuner and this takes 20-30 minutes. If you want to change tunes with the Spartan, it isn't instantaneous like it is with the H&S. If you ever get a different brand truck, the H&S tuner can be swapped to a Dodge or GM. Think resale with the H&S is easier since the same tuner works with all brands and their's no re-licensing fees.

Another Thing to add for H&S is they have free updates on their website. I dont know about the spartan. The shift on the fly tuning is what sold me on H&S.
