EGR Delete Questions

I have a 2010 6.4 with the following list of mods and want to do the EGR delete kit. What is the best kit to use and can it be done in your driveway? Does the Spartan allow the EGR delete?

Spartan tuner running the 275HP
S&B cold air intake
DPF delete
4 MBRP turbo back no muffler

I bought Rudy's kit, but Sinister, Elite, RCD, and Flo-Pro are all good kits. Yes it can be done in your driveway. It's fairly simple just time consuming. And yes, Spartan does allow for the complete removal of the EGR system.

Thanks for the info. Im leaning toward the sinister kit with the intake elbow. What are the main benefits for doing the EGR deletion?

Piece of mind for problems down the road and if you do delete it look in your intake and you will see why you are deleting it

I'm in the same boat with the sane kit. do you have to change anything in the tune or can u just get rid of it and it will know?

The sinister kit looks solid. I don't know what you lose without the egr tho

As long as you have Spartan, H&S, KEM or Innovative tunes you do not have to do anything other than remove the coolers to do an EGR delete. Deleting the EGR will prevent the EGR valve from rupturing and pouring coolant into the case causing you to throw a rod and have a very expensive lawn ornament. It will cut down on the black smoke and lower your EGT's. I think mine gave me a little more throttle response too.

I think the no cruise issue is an old problem that has since been fixed. Correct me if I am wrong though.
