delete and inspection

anyone around the houston area, harris county deleted dpf and egr have trouble getting an inspection sticker? where do you get your stickers at? i know running straight pipe on an 06 cummins they started giving grief about not having the resonator and muffler. want to delete my 6.4 but am curious who around houston has and gotten inspection? i know they dont put anything in the exhaust and run it but a buddy with a 2010 cummins said they hook up to the obd2? thanks.

Hook up to OBDII.......doubt it. The state would have no business or reason to plug in. Not even CA does that. All they would care about, and they dont, is a tail pipe sniffer.

They don't plug into the OBD-II

as the vehicle is emissions exempt, you SHOULD be able to get it inspected outside of Harris county. just find some little place in the sticks to get it inspected

Just go somewhere outside the city. I just got mine done a month ago. And they do not plug into the OBDII port. Otherwise, my Edge would have reset itself when I got back in.

Unfortunately, the heavily populated counties in Colorado require diesel emission inspection stations to hook up to the OBD-2, put the truck through a dyno-style test w/a tail pipe collector along with a visual inspection.

It makes for a lot of work to go back to stock for these inspections...but, worth it IMHO.
