304 or 409 stainless exhaust?

Gonna pull the trigger soon on a MBRP cool duals exhaust and and am undecided on which grade of stainless to get. I do know that the 304 is the better of the two, thus more expensive. This truck is daily driver seeing about 2500 miles a month and will be exposed to road salt here in Pa and I plan on keeping it a long time due to Ford not offering a manual transmission anymore. To anyone who has the 409ss, how bad does it corrode? I've had 304 and 316ss exhausts in the past but they were custom ones I fabbed out of schedule 10 pipe(yes they were heavy). Thanks for any replies.

I know AL wasn't in your options but I recently got the cool duals in aluminum. I was real close to the stainless but realized wtf is the point?!? With the environment I live and work in etc it is pointless.. I cleaned up the piping and painted it flat black.

Just an idea.

The T409 will actually get surface rust pretty quickly in areas where they use salt and chemicals on the road. If you want stainless and the exhaust to look good forever, T304 is really your only choice. That being said, the T409 will last just as long as the T304, but it just wont look as good.

304 if you want it to stay looking good. My Aluminized is holding up much better than my other truck with 409. So I would say Alum or 304
