Ok...No more putting my foot in it
I have had the Mini Maxx, MBRP and S&B CAI installed for a week now. I have shown all my friends and family and probably left too much rubber on our area roads. I am going to spend this next tank of fuel driving as conservative as possible and post my MPG's on this thread. I mean like seriously baby it. This first tank I averaged in the 16 range highway and around 13 driving around town. But like I said this mileage contains multiple 0-80 runs and a lot of 60-90 runs on the highway. I will however continue to run the Hot Setting on the HD300 tune. Wish me luck. This will probably be the week that every guy that pulls next to me at a light will want to race and I will have to remained disciplined.
I will lean on the ORG for some help staying disciplined. Thanks |

Bwaaaahhhhaaahhhhaaahhhaaaa..
yeah right...you'll try, but the first time you are just cruisin all nice and sedate-like and some punk-ricer comes up next to ya, the urge to STOMP is going to overwhelm you and ... ... well, you know the rest of the story! (LOL)

lol yeah its probably not gonna happen if you have only had it a week.... the excitement is still there, so you won't be able to resist. Im sure you will mellow out a lot though, as that first week is the hardest! in a seriousness, good luck... your truck probably needs a break.... or else it will break driving it like that regularly

I've had mine tuned for a year and I still love to get into the go pedal. It never gets old.

Cycleman07 I am installing the same setup this weekend you have installed. I am trully looking to be as excited as you are. I CAN"T WAIT ! I noticed you have a fifth wheel and was wondering how much it weighs and does your truck pull it without a problem. I am looking at getting a fifthwheel myself and they are in a weight range of about 10,000 to 13,000 lbs. Wanna make sure i can pull it with no problem being tuned.

Keep in mind, unless you have driven a stock truck with the DPF/CAT in place with the goal of achieving the best possible mileage you can for quite a while. Then you don't know what conservative is.

Need help controlling the skinny pedal??? Competition will provide the impetus. I compete with a deleted 6.7 dodge to see who can get the best mileage, requires focus, restraint, and a potential 'win'.
I have always been a lead foot, this 'competition' has helped tremendously. |
