From 12 MPG to 17 MPG INSTANTLY

I finished the installation of my XRT Pro, Flo Pro DPF/DOC delete pipe, and EGR blocker plates today. After going through the transmission learn procedure, I made a drive to get a feel for what my MPG was doing. I was running the HD Wild tune with Tranny S2M. I was cruising on the highway at 65 for 50 miles and city driving for 50 miles. I started with 12 miles on the trip meter for a total trip of 112 miles. I put 6.6 gallons of diesel in my truck at the end of the run. That translates to 16.96 MPG. The same type of driving before tuning would have been in the 11 to 12 MPG range. I am completely satisfied with the results. If I continue to get this type of MPG, the mods will pay for themselves in less than a year. Not to mention I am no longer dumping raw fuel into the cylinder by the gallon. I am kicking my butt for not doing this sooner.

Make sure that you recalibrate your speedo if that's an option on that tuner. I didn't in the beginning. Notices that although my fuel mileage didn't seem to be that much better in the beginning I seemed to be passing everything on the road! Measured my tires and recalibrated according to that and speedo was still a bit off so I used my gps to compare speed and did the calibration according to that. Actually set the speedo to be about 1 mph faster than the gps in the interest of not enriching the local speed traps.

Yes, it sucks and it is kind of sad how much the new exhaust components hinder performance.
