Spartans vs SCT

Alright guys another tune thread, looking to get a new tuner have The XRT pro right now looking to up grade to spartan or SCT what do you guys think? I know the 6.0 loved the SCT what about the 6.4? I like the fact you can use the iPhone and iPad if you get the wireless package (as the programer id get the touch screen xtreme with xtreme tuning package) but what bout the power and fuel mileage and tranny shifting? We all know Spartans has on the fly adjustments along with the biggest HP gains but again how's the tranny shifting and fuel mileage? Just looking to get a real nice tuner and trying to get the best for the truck. Thanks for your time and input

Spartan does not support on the fly tuning and as far as the transmission in concerned after tranny relearns it is fine and don't quote me on this but most other tuners you will have to do tranny relearn as well. I went with the spartan because I don't change tunes very often.

Oh I see sorry about the on the fly I thought they had it. How do you like the Spartans?

go with the mini maxx same power as spartan but shifts on the fly and tranny tunes are smoother.

H&S has the shift on the fly NOT Spartan. I have a Spartan its ok but I would say go with H&S.

I've ran both. For the $$ you will spend on spartan you can buy a mini max and get Kem tunes, which are very similar to spartan tunes, but with smoother tranny shifting.

I personally dd h&s hot dam* and it treats me well. Plus the h and s offers different trans tuning on their website free of charge so you can test different stuff and see what you like best.

I tried all the trans tuning and feel the s1l is best for me. I'm in the process of getting my 345 tune set up to shift like my h and s, once I get this done ill dd the 345.

Fuel mileage is the same with either.

SCT isnt bad, but the screen is big and bulky. i found one used for super cheap and bought custom tunes and i couldnt be happier. paid way way less then the other tuners. just my 2cents

I'm gonna do a ill more research on the tuners I have XRT pro running hot damn tune but to be honest I don't really like how the tranny shifts and my fuel mileage isn't the greatest either ( maybe its just the truck) and kinda wish I spent more money on a nicer unit then the XRT like a live wire Spartans or mini max... I just want a programmer that makes great power fuel mileage increase and smooth shifting and be able to see exactly what HP tune I select and on the fly would be nice too is SCT on the fly?
