H&S v. KEM on mileage & tc lock

So i have a mini max with the latest hot damn tunes and also have the nutty professor full sd card from kem(up to 345)

I prefer the hd tunes for daily driving, much more fluid and smooth, but i noticed i get alot better mileage out of the kem tunes. a big thing i noticed is that the hd tunes lock the tc much sooner than the kem tunes. i am currently running the kem 275 tune b/c im on the highway 5 days a week 64miles a day and can get 21+mpg doing 65-70ish. anything higher than 275 and i get too much axle wrap when i get on it and its just a beast. when i used to run the hd tunes, i would get much lower mileage even on the highway. around 16-17mpg. this isnt just using the computer, also noticed a big difference in how many miles i can go per tank between the tunes.

the hd tune is running the stock trans tuning that they put on b/c i like the 40mph tc lock around town. i think its called s2med

i thought that the sooner a tc locks up the better mileage you get? Does anyone else know what could be contributing to the disparity in mileage between the two? id prefer to run hd for daily driving and kem for track, the 345 tune owns!

Go to 'Show Settings' and scroll down ...that will show you your trans tune...it's S1L or S1M..i say this cause the 4th gear TCLockup is only in the S1 trans tunes...
regarding the HD tune vs. KEM....I'll share with you what i have read....some folks say that the latest H&S tune; the 6.4.32 ; has some lower mpg's then past tunes from H&S...if you want a previous tune H&S will possibly provide it if you ask. If not...then ask 'SOOTY' on the H&S forum he will help you with older tunes.
