Intake temp question

installed the banks cold air in the f450 today.. looked at my bullydog and noticed the temp was 24c (temp today was 17c)..

as i drove it went down to around 20c (outside 16c).. now i never looked at my intake temp before on the bullydog but wondering if this is normal?

when the truck was off (in the sun) then when i fired it up the temp was high but cooled as soon as I moved.. whats the reg temp for the truck and am i going bonkers wondering why its so high?

It usually is a little higher then the outside temp.. as for the the intake tube is warm from all the engine heat and etc, and when you drive it, it starts to cool down the intake tube since you are getting more air flow.. as for starting up in the sun.. When the sun is warming up the metal on the hood and the air under the hood, once you start it you are taking in all that warm air that has been sitting there in the tube. Thats why you don't want a metal intake tube because it holds alot more heat then plastic and keeps the temps higher.
