EGR Questions
Guys i really want to remove my egr system from the truck!! I have removed 3 from 6.7 dodges but there on top for the most part. And to be honest i am a little nervouse about doing it on my 6.4 due to lack of room. I would almost be willing to pay someone to do it but i dont know of anyone can do it here in MS. Does deleting change exhaust tone or give you any increase in power? Also what kit would be the best one to purchase?

here's a really good thread on the process of removal.
EGR Delete-Full Install (Long+Pics) river city diesel has instructions as well. depending on the kit it'll also have instructions. performance truck products makes a good kit. as of now I think they are backordered however. I'm probably going to do this soon. Not the most experienced/skilled mechanic. Just everyday maintenance stuff. |

I think if you have the mechanical know-how to delete the coolers from a Dodge that would be able to walk your way through the 6.4. I deleted my own 6.4 and it was the first EGR delete I had done. I didn't notice any change in exhaust tone or any increase in power. I went with the Street Diesel Performance (SDP) kit and am happy with it. I also went with the CFM+ elbow. Fit and finish was nice and I also used the RCD instructions to help.
